Hi
Im reading the help-file coming along with the docs, where there is an explanation how to make a tpc with c++. Unfortunatly I´m not famiiar with c++ (or better I´ve no idea ...).

But Im working with purebasic and I want to make TPC with this language. Has anyone an idea of how to include a stringtable in a Dll `manually`?. And has the dll to be in the `CDecl`- Format or not?

Any help will be appriciated...

I've never used PB, so I can't help too much except to confirm that your entry-point routines do need to use the C calling convention.

I think you'll have better luck asking at the PB forums. Just explain that you are making dlls for DBPro and the requirements that it needs. I think even the creator of PB hangs around the forums a lot so you should get some help.

not sure what your trying to do.
you can place a string in a data section....


yourstring:this is a string

and then return the string from a dll function call...
proceduredll GetString()
procedurereturn @yourstring
endprocedure

is that what your after?

Nope. The strings aren't for the program. They are data that the DBPro compiler uses to identify all the new commands that you are providing inside the DLL for it to use.

I can provide a small string resource file for you to look at, but how you would compile it into a PB program is beyond me

Unfortunately, my tutorial writing skills are ... unfortunate

Maybe a FAQ? I could maybe start compiling one for C++, but it's a bit difficult to do for a language I know nothing technical about.
