hi again, i am currently working on a zombie survivval game (suprise suprise).

I know that lot's of people have been doing this recently but i was the first person to post a zombie survival thread on the w.i.p board so please don't accuse me of ripping off other people's games.

Unlike other zombie survivals, you can actually complete this, although you certaintly don't have to.
I have incorperated conjured's cash system into the game, so weapons, ammo, doors, you need money for them all, and of course you get money from killing zombies.
I tried to vary it a bit, so the more doors you go through, the more weapons, entities and zombies there are.
attached are some screenshots, and before anyone asks, no, i do not think it is as good as kravenwolfs.

GAME PROGRESS
level 1:around 60%
level 2:not started
level 3:not started
level 4:not started

I will release level one when it is finished, and i will enter this game for the upcoming game design contest.
as with all my games, the whole thing will be 100% free.

I would add a few overlays to make the ground look a bit dirtier. Looks nice, keep it up.

yeah, it's still very much in progress, and if i had to make a list of what needed to be done in this level it would be this: (sorted by priority)

1.finish rooms.
2.finish scripts.
3.entities.
4.overlays.
5.music/ambience.

that's about it.

hmmm... i think it was a bad idea calling my game "zombie survival" (or rather, naming the thread that) now people are gonna think it's another one of thoses boring games that are never finished.

Well... Looks good, but I don't really like the cash system. I don't think it fits with zombies. I tought when playing nazi zombies, but I just sisn't like it.

In a middle of a zombie apocalypse I wouldn't stay there to buy something, from a shelf that no-one even looks. I would just take the gun. And I would just break the table in front of me. If I can't... Then I don't know.

3rd project??? Wow! I'm having hard time working on one! I think I like Darkest Depths the best.

hmmm.. well i think i'm gonna scrap fireteam, as i'm replacing it with this as my contest entry, and i'm officialy putting darkest depths on "pause" for about a month. (just so i can do this)

as for the cash system, i think that without one the player will have nothing to strive for, and taking away the cash system basically gives you an objective-less game.

I have to agree, the cash system is what really makes it fun.

Well, many people like it, but I don't really. It doesent fit to horror. MY OPINION! I know, that many of you disagree, but it fits more in some... other type.

I reckon the gun'd help...

Is this like Nazi zombies, as in you stand your ground and survive, or is it just a linear game?

right, in essence, it's both.
you can if you want to stay for as long as you like in each level, or, unlock the last door and go to the next one.
