Hey guys,

Im not one for complaining and posting bug reports. I usually use trial and error to get things done but with this problem I cant seem to find any way around it.

so the problem is, when i am trying to test my level, it calculates 204 light objects then goes to save textures but when it gets to [64] it seems to crash the editor and the game.

This has never happend to me before and i assure you my system can handle large levels.

I was wondering if this has happend to anyone else and whether there was a solution? Obviously making a smaller level is a solution but the point is that its only recently that I have had this problem.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Is your level based in open air (outside) or under roof inside?

I ask because if it's an outside level you can delete almost all your lights and simply make one huge light to act as a sun. It makes far better and more realistic lighting too.

Yes it is outside and thats exacty what i have done, it still seems to have a problem with anything over 200 though. its very odd.

Yeah the textures are on medium, the lightmap quality is one quick lightmapping. No shader effects are on.

If you are using sunlight then why have the 200 lights?

No not lights, 200 objects that the light is casting shadows on. Next time you test a game, see which bit takes the longest and you will see that it says calculating object light or something like that

I had this happen with the newest update when I had lightmap quaility set to 100. I lowered it to 60 I think and it worked again.

Ok, I simply misunderstood when you wrote "it calculates 204 light objects"

But happy to see you got the problem fixed.
