i was working on some wings 3d models because i was bored and decided to give them away to you guys and see what neat games you guys can create with them. Now these are just the models them selves, nothing fancy just models and what not. There not even in .x format, but I'm sure you can put them in a .x format if you want, and if you do then that's cool. Just make sure you give credit to mechzone productions aka skynet games, for the construction of the models.

I wanted to do this because i have not posted anything here model related yet so i figured it would be nice for a first try. I would like to see what you all can do with them and if you can send me your demos and show me how you make your weapons animations, muzzle flashes etc..

i like them, i am using wings3d as well, so here is a tip for those with FPSC, to get the model in the scale that FPSC uses then export in x format 52 times scale.

Nothing to see here, move along please.

Why do you have a Speedtest image in your signature and btw before you say you want to show off your speed i have 18Mb/s at home and 25Mb/s at work so i win WOOOOOOO.

Lol couldnt help myself had to add the WOOOOOOO and sorry about the off-topic

They are ok i guess but the textures, if they are textures may not be done yet are rather bad and need work they need dulling down allot and need scratches and so on when have you ever seen a gun or grenade that colour or that clean. Thats about it i guess.

Ok? that was WAY off topic, now. Im not treying to show off my computers speed. I thought it looked kinda cool, so i put it up. I really am not showing off, so that comment was uncalled fore. And the models are being given away FREE! you can make your own texture and add them if you want. And frankly, i find your post "troll-ish" if your not going to be constructive DONT COMMENT!

Im sorry but my post was not totally off-topic it still had something about the topic in hand in it which means it is allowed and is not trolling at all please make sure you actually read the whole post, then you would have seen it is on-topic for the majority, you asked this
Quote: " tell me what you think of the models."
so thats what i did. Please try to keep your cool a bit more in future because honestly you just made your self look even more stupid by getting angry like that about something so small. Btw how does a image from a speed test look cool (rhetorical question), i guess you cant have it now cos its too big.

^^
Now this is what is called off-topic
Now for on-topic

Another comment i think they look very high poly for what they are how many polys do they actually have.

But as not to start a flame war and to respect this thread so it doesnt get locked im going to go.

The Next you don't have much going for yourself respect-wise either.
The models look like a lot of basic shapes with random extrusions, remember that just extruding random faces does not equal to adding detail. You need to tweak things individually and make separate parts etc.

I knwo i said i was going but.. yeh lol

Once more sorry if that offended anyone but im sorry for saying one little thing off-topic i think your find that everyone does it ever so often and it isnt a crime so when i get that kind of response when i did post something related to the topic its kinda annoying. I would be more understanding if i didnt have anything on-topic.

you come in to the thread boasting about how fast your computer is, and i don't even care. But this thread was made for pure feed back on the models only, yes you did get back on topic. But i could have gone with out seeing that boast about your computer, some of us don't have the couple thousand dollars or even 100 dollars because right now due to work problems (this relates to people 16 and under) are having a hard time with what we have to make ends meet. So please, in the future. Leave the computer talk out of it, thank you.

Back on topic
The models where designed in wings 3D and given the look they have now just because i don't know how to use GIMP or to do the import export textures, because i find it complicated right now sense I'm still trying to learn what i can with wings3D, the UV maper doesn't do much when i want to even attempt to import an image it wont work. So i don't even touch it.

Ok just to clear up, i was not boasting about how my fast my computer was if i was gona do that i could have done allot better and quite honestly i dont care either im nto one to go aroudn sayign im better than you cos i have PC thats better because that makes no difference to anyones status does it, let me tell you it is a joke of sorts its not meant as a challenge to you so please just try and leave it. Also dont talk to me about work trouble im having enough of it myself im pretty sure i know how much trouble there is out there. Now that did offend me i hope you dont think im implying im any better than you i am most certainly not i have my fair share of money issues at the moment.

Back on topic again

I like the models i didnt say i didnt but just saying there could be improvements made on them now if that came accross wrong then deepest regrets.

They look pretty good, do you have a uv map for them? I may have a go texturing one, just a note, the handle for the minigun on the last pic is a tad too small for my liking.

Sure asteric, if you want to have a go on working on one of them. You may, i don't mind sharing my work with other modelers, and you can post your work here. We can collaborate between pieces of work and such, so yea. I don't mind
