As i mentioned in my sketchbook thread, i said i was going to give away some free stuff. I'll give it out as it comes but any requests that you lot have, give me a shout and i'll see what i can do.
Lets get started.

The first model is a basic female template i use as a starting mesh when i jump into Zbrush for a quick sculpting session. The anatomy isn't perfect, the topology could be better(but it works fine for me for good zbrush sculpting) and she has an ugly face. But this isn't intended as a finished model, more of jump start with basic geometry so you can get into building a custom character.
The rar comes with a 3DS, OBJ and the original Max file. She isn't unwrapped and she weighs in at 6,588 tri's. More than enough to get you started but small enough to expand on.

You can use any of these models in your own projects, commercial or not(it would be nice to be credited, but its not necessary).
You are not allowed to sell or reupload these for download in another site or section of the forum.

Thats all i ask.
Cheers.

Ah very generous offer, I'm sure a lot of people could value from this. Can't wait to see what's next.

I realised i'd missed out on doing a model today and when i was looking through Gervais thread i was inspired to make a book.

It weighs in at 52 tris, comes with 6 texture maps(Black,Green,Dirty Green,Red,Yellow and the Normal Map) and 3DS and OBJ formats.

Kind of annoyed no one has really replied to this. Especially as the amount of views its got, people are probably downloading my stuff so leave a comment if you do.
Still want to take some requests though, its been really hot here and i've had no enthusiasm for anything but sitting on the beach drinking beer.

There's like 4 or 5 active users on the 3D chat board . I wish more traffic came to this corner of the forum.

The textures on the book are very nice. I like the "old" effect on the pages.

I think that the base female model is perfect for those who aren't very good at modeling, but want more experience for sculpting humans. I'm definitely going to use it for sculpting practice.

I think that you should make a male base mesh too.

Hoping to see more from you!

No one here should really be -that- young... a good anatomical shape is needed to properly model clothing around and this should provide a good usable base.

The torso is well done, but the elbows seem a little sharp and pinched.

It is a generous download as alot of people seem to have trouble with character modeling. I have a couple of base meshes of my own, but it's really interesting to compare the work and see how different people go about modeling the same subject.

I'm sure many will benefit from this - the edge flow will perhaps be education for some, whilst those more perverted I'm sure will have a private use and what dirty, dirty people they are.

lol no, how can someone honestly get off on that when google is my best friend.

Its pretty good edge flow, the best of any free base mesh ive seen.
- its greatly appreciated, though i prefer to use my own poorly built ones, it gives a better sense of achivment...
