Starting to feel a bit guilty. I have been setting things up and routing the wires so my room doesn't look like a spagetti factory. Had boxes all over the place and now my bulleting board is sitting on the floor due to the changes.
Should get back to DBP tomorrow and hit the book again.
Feel sort of guilty.

I don't mean to be rude, but you really don't need to post a thread to tell us that.

On another note, not having coded for one day is hardly bad. I generally only ever code on the weekends, at the most 3/7 days a week.

No need to feel guilty, programming doesn´t define life, and it is quite frankly only good you have other things to do (even if it is organizing cables in your room, lol) .

There is no greater virtue, then the ability to face oneself.

you need time away from the computer to be a good programmer, give yourself a chance to think things through and take on inspiration.
Besides programming, you need time away from the computer

I haven't eaten a sandwich today. I feel guilty.

I haven't programmed since 5 minutes, the guilt caused me to poo myself. Sorry, I ate it all.

When I was a kid I would program for 4 or 5 hours straight on QuickBasic then get up, run around the house messing with the cats (being a normal kid)... then get back on the computer and program quietly again. It was an endless cycle of seriousness and craziness. We all need our little distractions to keep us sane.

I think the last 8 or 9 posts I've seen from you have involved you eating your poo...

That's apparently up to personal opinion.

Time to get this back on topic.

So you should - books seem to be a source of great mystery and wonder to members of this community. Anyone claiming to be able to read is obviously guilty of rodomontade or worse.

Maybe I am getting back into my second childhood.( Or maybe I never left my first!)
Wife said she let me buy a new computer because that is all I have here and I don't do much else.

I don't really care what I do most of the time, be it eating, playing games or looking at por... Wait, I won't go there

I only get pissed off when I get up and think 'I'm going to mod Fallout 3 today' and end up spending the whole day tinkering with FPSC.

Same here, I'm here thinking, "I'm going to create a map in hammer!" then I end up in FPSCX10. lol

Does not compute ...

Those three words prove you wrong, at least in my case

I have no idea what that means and neither does google or my (paper book) dictionary.

Really? Quite surprised the dictionary didn't know - it's an archaic word for "boastful or inflated talk/behavior". Comes from 17th century French/Italian.

I copied and pasted and found nothing. I try it now and I find loads of references. How could I get that wrong.

Never mind ... I'll add it to my list of words to use in casual conversation over the next week
