I have a map going on and an important part I want to incorperate into it is being able to jump on top of shipping conatiners, specifically the ones in MP3. But whenever I jump on top of them, I fall about halfway through and stop. I can still walk around but I'm melted halfwaythrough. Obviously this will not do, is there any way to fix this problem?

Are they set as static objects? Static objects have better collision detection than dynamic objects.

Yes, they are set to static. Lemmie know if you need a screenshot to better explain this problem.

Quote: "defaultheight = 50"

try setting this to 0 or taking it out of the fpe file. i cant think of any other reason for it to do this.

Else import the model into a modelling app, make a box the size of the container, make it transparent and export just the box and place it over the container in FPSC.

I haven't tried walking on them but that 50 to zero adjustment sounds right since they start out off the ground.

I've been thinking about container housing lately, like these...... Container Homes by Container City

...and like these... Studentencontainers Wenckebachweg

I have not added the gantries or steps or removed the door latches, but you get the idea...

The reason they only have half the collision is because by default, they spawn as dynamic. If they are static, like you said, the collision bug would be gone and polygon collision would kick in. Also the texture would be reduced to one, so some areas wouldn't look right.

Huh..... This is weird because i'm using them in a multiplayer game, so they have to be static.... hmmmmm

I have the most updated version of MP3. (I'm pretty sure, anyway...)

@Conjured: I'd be willing to trade a couple of my store items for those containers.
I like them
