This is old news, but it's also partially wrong. Some recent stuff coming out the Take2 lawsuit revealed that Forever was still in development in some way or form, possibly for the 360, even after it was officially 'dead'.

Presumably it won't stay that way, but I doubt it will be completely/definitively dead for a few months or years (until the lawsuit finally kills whoever and whatever is still involved)

There still is, as far as I know. When Apogee (original developer) was taken over by Take 2, Take 2 assigned the task of finishing the project Apogee started (Duke Begins) to 2K Games. So 2K is apparently working on Duke Begins.
Honestly, what were they thinking? Duke Begins? They're keeping the same muscle-bound, tight red shirt and Ray Ban wearing, bleached blonde hero. Those went out of style in the video game world about 10 years ago. Sure it might be nice for nostalgia purposes, but nostalgia only gets you so many customers.

I have only two things to say about this:

1) Damn it!

2) Blow it out your ass!

I hope they really are in development I get why it has a long delay because they probably screwed up in the orginal game they were making and they needed a new idea with better graphic and gameplay.
