Morgue Survival

Developer: Darimc

Story
You are trapped in an abandoned morgue. You must try to make it to the security room. Kill zombies to get points, and use the points to open doors.

Background
Well the inspiration for the game came from Nazi Zombies and the Nazi Zombie Fan Game. I decided to make a game like it but not a rip-off. I decided to base it in a morgue. I set a one day deadline for this and stuck to it. This game may not be completely polished, but it is finished.

Tips
-Each zombie you kill is worth 100 points
-The boss zombie is worth 2000 points
-SAVE AMMO! You will need it for the boss
-Three hits and you are dead
-Don't step in the hurt zones, you will die

Patches
To install patches, simply drag the extracted folder into the Morgue Survival folder and "overwrite all" if asked.

Patch 1.1
Fixes zombie range.

Well this is rather depressing, I will give it time, but it seems as if not even one person is interested.

It looks nice. The lighting is just like Cozs.

And the game is just like the Nazi zombies game.

However, it looks good, good job on that. I will have to give it a download later.

It just looks like lights in a dark room to me.

Quote: "And the game is just like the Nazi zombies game."
Hence "looks". It is not like Nazi zombies, it is a start->finish game.

Thanks.

I didn't take it as one. Don't worry, I see what you mean. I have lit some of the rooms in a similar way .

The zombies wouldn't appear in the first room for me. I just got a new laptop, and it has Vista... is there any possibility I am doing anything wrong on my pc? I'll try it on my XP desktop.

Yeah, I noticed how difficult the zombies are, I will decrease their range and upload a patch.

Okay guys, here is the first patch. It will decrease the range of the zombies and increase the range of the axe slightly. All you have to do is drag it into the Morgue Survival folder and click "overwrite all" if it asks. The patch size is only 204kb so it is very small.

I'm sorry, but I WANTED to like it, honestly...
but I died rather too quickly. The three hit kill system is
a tad extreme. You should look for a health regeneration script.
You know, like in Nazi Zombies where you can gain you life back
if you steer away from the zombies attacks.

Try the patch, also, make sure to dodge the zombies. The reason I made them fall down after every hit with the axe was because it gives you time to move or dodge\hit another zombie. I did plan it to be difficult. Maybe that will help, but it is meant to be a little hardcore. I will maybe work on a patch with health regeneration.

The lamp in the back wall of the first one is really cool, can I ask, where did you get it?

Patch helps but, its still easy to die... and that's my problem.

Thanks. Make sure to dodge the enemies and not just aim for one, but it is easier to hit one and then another and another, then the first one again.

I haven't downloaded, but if Darimc hasn't used Vishnu or something, you could always cheat by opening the weapons' gunspec files and editing their damage...

@Seko
You could always just use Google webpage translator and go there, I've done it before. It's a little akward but it works.

On Topic: Looks very nice darimc, nothing better than blasting apart zombie hordes by the dozens

Look for me on CoD4 online for PC. My username's Arbiquator (strange I know but it's the first thing that came to mind)

@SekoIdiootti: You can find the lamp on this website http://adrian-online.de.to/, it's written in english.

Nice game Darimc, altough the zombies could use a makeover.

EDIT:
By the way Darimc, I tried the game a few days ago, but kept dying from zombies meleeing me out of their range . I never made if out of the first room, unfortunately. And the 20 FPS average didn't help much either Those things aside, your level design was much more elaborate than our remake (judging by the screenshots). Good job with this, and one of the only titles now in the showcase lol.

I'm sorry to say that after four failed attempts, I quit trying to survive the morgue. That 200lb axe is so heavy and I'm so old and slow that it takes almost two seconds to swing it, and by then the zombies have already touched me. I've killed them repeatedly but to no avail. Alas, they can't be killed. Oh well.

I wish it played on my machine like it does on s4reals, so I could see the rest of the level.

This is really weird. I played and it worked on both my machines, with 28-36 fps... You need to download the patch in the first post to reduce zombie range and increase axe range. In order to survive you should hit one zombie, let it fall, hit the next, let it fall, hit the third, then back to the first until they die. That is the easiest way. And if they all come towards you, sprint and jump between them. This game was supposed to be extremely difficult remember, but I guess I will change it and add up a difficulty fix patch.

darmic,

The framerate was fine, no problem there. I just couldn't get the timing on the axe because the animation is slow to start. Then they ganged up on me. I'm just too old and slow for this kind of game.

I'm reduced to wandering around and looking at the scenery. When you get old you have to eat soft foods and play games without enemies.

That's odd, no one else has had this problem. Honestly, I do not know, maybe someone else can post here to point you in the right direction.
