I think we need a new section on this board under "GAME MAKING" along with 3d, 2d and team requests called "FOUNDATION CODE" or something like that (forgive me, im thinking fast) where people can post not code snippets, but important chunks of code that EVERY coder needs, such as camera systems, control systems, menu systems and anything that every coder will need during the production of their projects.

This will help speed up development and would help save time coding new things when they can find a solid foundation for, say, a control system, then build on top of it to suit.

Just an idea. Suppose it could also be a sticky post in the snippets section.

Heh heh - point taken.

We'll just need a sticky post in the snippets thread then wont we.

free ai code, not a bad idea.

there is one problem, if people would be posting loads of code, doesnt that mean we'll end up finding the bits of code we want, sticking them together, and doing a little editing, then have a totally finished game? wheres the fun in that? if someone would rather do that, wouldnt it save time and effort just to buy T3DGM?

nice idea, but everyone making full games out of someone else's code would be pretty scary in my eyes.

forum area dilution, and pointless areas will prevent a new forum area being created where the info could fit into an existing one.

megaton thats not very polite.
