Perhaps it's because the value of US dollars and New Zealand dollars are different? Just a guess.

I haven't tried a mod on the Steam version yet--- can anyone verify that they work properly?

No offense, but why not try it for yourself? You'll get your answer faster... My Fallout copy was store bought, btw.

Fallout 3: FPS + RPG elements + epic environment with little load = what made Fallout 3 original. Please don't bring up STALKER or Far Cry because people know what I mean.

Final Fantasy: Turn-based combat for every game. Same angst-ridden characters and their personal problems.

Point is...there is not point as it's just our opinions.
Loved the old FF games. At the end of the day no one really cares because video games are just toys.

p.s

Saw the FF designer trying to hype the new PS3 FF game at E3 but it looked like the same old.

Mods work on the Steam version of Oblivion, so I'd imagine it'd be the same with FO3.

Because I am doing other things at the moment. If someone has ALREADY tried it then it's actually faster for them to acknowledge.

Actually, the 9x UI thing is a pretty good point - I would assume that means it's being produced by something fairly low level, that's only linked against very basic UI components - so probably some kernel component or memory manager. Whether you do enough to get it "angry" is just dependent on the address that gets nuked. (Presumably it controls or reserves some range of addresses for itself / to protect the kernel)

Problem solved.

Thanks for the heads-up! I loved Oblivion, so I figured that the same game with guns and mutants couldn't be anything short of spectaular!

And a quick google-search revealed this thread on Gamespot, where the topic is discussed. Apparently it should work, but there might be some problems (I dunno, just quickly skimmed it through).
