So I was going to enter this contest
http://www.dreambuildplay.com/main/default.aspx

But I was hit hard with 2 major difficulties this year, which are going to prevent me from entering.
1. NO TIME!!!! AGH! The team and I were really stupid and waited till June to start this.... which was a bad idea.
2. My Xbox 360 just red ringed, which means I cant test whatever we make. To make that worse actually, My Xbox red ringed a few months back, and I just bought a new one... It arrived on Monday, and red ringed out yesterday.

Im doomed!

Does any one else on these forums participate in this competition? I know I did it last year...

My Xbox just red ringed today.

I tried to learn XNA but I just couldn't get the hang of it.

I have a whole couple classes in the fall dealing specifically with XNA and C#. I'm looking forward to it!

Because buying a new one was almost at the same expense to me, and it would arrive at my doorstep faster than sending the old one in to be fixed. I needed an xbox pronto so as to try avoid the lack of time.

How is it at the same expense? When did you buy your first 360?

I'm working on a puzzle game entry, but I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it. I've got too much other stuff keeping me busy.

I've basically finished coding the 'game system' or whatever, but I still need to do all the level design, textures (diffuse, normal, and specular), music, and finish up the screen system.

Looks like I might be better off waiting for next year.
