I feel like an idiot, but I went playing around the internet and found a new VS beta and downloaded it. Now, when I try to build I get:

I tried reinstalling the old VS over the new one and that didn't help a bit. Am I gonna have to completely uninstall then reinstall?

Looks like its upgraded you DirectX SDK... That Error comes from a dependancy that DarkGDK's multiplayer.lib(Multiplayer command set) has to a library that stopped being included in the DirectX SDK in August 2007.

You can either uninstall and re-install everthing in the right order, ie. uninstall it all, then Visual Studio, then DirectX SDK, then DarGDK for the re-install.
OR
You can use a workaround, and compile a "dummy" multiplayer.lib, which will allow you to use the latest DirectX SDK's without getting that compile error, though none of the Multiplayer commands will be available anymore if you do make a dummy library, and you will need to use a seperate piece of software if you want to create a network/multiplayer game.

For details on creating the dummy library, do a forum search in the GDK forums for multiplayer.lib.. or follow this link :

edit : oops, made it a code snippet instead of link, fixed now
