True.. please note that the forum and everything else will be offline for probably most of the day. I'm going to backup the whole posts database first thing in the morning (around 9am GMT) and then run my conversion scripts on that. This means any posts made after that will be lost when the new site is live.

All accounts will be 100% intact, you even get to keep the same password But the biggest change is you have to login with your EMAIL address now, not your forum name.

Cheers,

Rich

Probably not. It's the way that DBDN has always worked.

Unfortunately, you can get a new email address so easily, it's not a good way to ban people.

hmm,

when you say "email address" do you mean the one you make publically available? or did we provide one during signup?

since i signed up a long time ago, i forgot whether we provided one at signup or not.

Unfortunately, i have no idea which e-mail address i used if it is one we provided at signup. does this mean i'll have to go around all 7 e-mail addresses i have to see which one was right?

anyway, "changing the site", will this just be design wise or something? i guess i'll wait till tomorrow lol.

my browser is 1024 *768 and it doesnt fit very well. its all right centered, doesnt look graphically appealling, i havent seen any new useful features yet, but i still think the old forums were better.
