Travis, please don't bump your threads if you aren't adding images/updates.

posting 3 days after your post to simple say:
Quote: "i will get a better picture but i wont spend alot of time on it"

Isn't acceptable.

Cheers,

... wow.

Just to clarify a render takes what a few secondes a half decent uploader, so i rekon about a minute or two of your time is not such a great deal.

oh btw you only uploaded two images, nethier of them had a wireframe or a cell shading, -- cell shading is without smoothing groups.
Quote: "i cant help it,is is the light in the render!"

you can, remove the light setup and or do what the post underneath said,

posting something in pure black cant help no-one, now can it? ask yourself, can you see anything worth while to comment on? Its a common courtesy to at least give us something to crit on when you ask. Its like posting two perfectly black squares ontop of each other and asking which one is better. We dont know, you'v postered a cylinder with a slightly enlarged end. We cant do nothing with it so what should we do but ask for a image that we can do something with.

great i ranted -_-

Dude, if you're fed up of rendering images, then just get a shot from the editor. That's what I do and no one seems to care.

Putting 3 images into 1 image takes a couple minutes.

Wow, flashlights! The perfect level for an ant world, or better yet as a bludgeoning weapon for FPSC! The possibilities are endless!

Dude, sorry, but your posts are making my eyes bleed. Try using correct punctuaction and also capital letters, if you don't mind. I'm actually finding it hard to decipher what you are trying to get across.

Well, Travis, it was more half-way in between. Remember my crate thread? That was a parody of this. Sorry, but I don't think a flashlight deserves its own thread. You probably worked very hard on this, and I commend you for it. Good luck modeling in the future.

@Brick Break I've seen many threads with someone presenting a cigarette lighter before,a flashlight is a bigger accomplishment than a cigarette lighter...

Well, a crate or a cigarette lighter can be a good accomplishment too! And a flashlight might very well be a good accomplishment, as well. But what's better? Eating a cake, or looking at it in the dark?

I would suggest taking the time to learn how to render wireframe images of your object as well as lighting it better for the pics that the viewers who will comment on. After you learn how to do it, it will be a quick procedure that you will always know for future uploads and posts.

I have not been here long, but I have found during my lurking that most of the people here like to help and are ready to give advice. They are only trying to help. Help back!

To be honest, your flashlight's silhouette looks good, but I can't tell much else about it. I can kinda see the grip (which I think is a cool idea) but I would like to see it in its full glory. Lighting it up would lighten my day!

EDIT: Try hitting "Print Screen" while you are in your editor, and pasting what it copies into "Paint" for an upload.

A GOOD flashlight is better than a crappy character.

A crappy flashlight is worse than a crappy character.

What I mean to say is, for a first model this is quite good but if you don't put any effort into displaying it or helping us to see it or accepting critique, then you won't ever get anywhere.
