Hi there, did someone knows a FREE program which allow to create bump and normal maps ?


(I know, my english is awful, i'm sorry for this inconvinience )

You could use "Gimp" it is free and you can make normal maps,
for bump i dont know for sure.

A normal map is a bump map

Plus in GIMP there is a bump mpa feature that comes with it

well the normal map plugin for GIMP is not that good.

I prefere Programs like Crazybump...

However if you are not willing to donate a small bit of money to get better results than crap free plugins that create sharp, crap normal maps then that's the attitude you need.

I use XNormal instead, it has a cool feature that converts black and white images into normal maps, and another that converts textures too, it's pretty useful...oh, and it's free...

Use normalmaps with one of Creator of ZombieĀ“s shaders to get the best result!!!
