Well, i never thought i would see this coming, normally I'm very happy about turning older. But once i got past 18 i started to feel old, So july 7th ill be 23 years old, and already i feel old before my time and i STILL! can barely manage to learn anything from TGC, maybe I've lost my edge, or maybe I'm just become so damn old that my brain don't want to learn anymore what ever the case. I think I'm at becoming an old fart, i know i shouldn't be saying that but i can't help but feel extremely old.

The worlds passing by me and i feel my self just slipping, i don't know why. I just do, mom always said (this is a qoute but also what she always told me) Mom always said that if you let the world pass you by, you don't know what you missed. Interestingly enough, i don't think I've missed much in life by they always say there is a lot of stuff in life you could miss if you just stay in your house all day and just clickity clickity click all day on your keyboard and mouse. Sure i miss a lot but a catch some of it as best i can, i dunno. you ever feel like somethings going by you way to fast?

Yes, well, I just had a birthday but felt no reason to make a topic about it. No offense, but I'm sure no one that I know over the internet would care.

At any rate, good job on getting to 23. And if the world is passing you by at 23, why not get a job? Or wife? or something that makes you feel like you're making progress in life.

You don't want to feel like you're making progress, though. Because once the progress bar kisses the end, your window closes and the process is terminated, freeing your resources to the OS.

Wait, what?

Hey, don't be so sadistic! You've got years and years left of your life, but you've reached the point where you've got valuable experience many others don't have. You're at your peak physically and mentally. Now's a good time to go out and see what you are capable of.

Oh, happy birthday.

Yet another birthday topic. I've been on TGC forums for about a month now and I've seen at least three of these not including this one.

But anyways, your mother is right, don't let the world pass you by. A social life is the greatest thing you could possibly have...probably...Eh what do I know, my name is Happy Cheesecake for craps sake.

Good luck,

@ Skynet

Well, I've heard of these things called...eh, what was it again...Oh yeah, girlfriends. I hear that they can bring people personal enlightenment, migraines, and possibly offspring. They also make great company. You should look into buying one off of Ebay or something like that.

Happy bday

If you're 23 and doing the "clickity click" all day at home then yes the world is passing you by.

Are you in school?

Give it another 40 years. It will go away. I would gladly change ages with you.
Also remember, when you get to 45 or so, you can always just stay that age and no one will know.
Happy Birthday.

I guess, but some times i feel old... But some times i think that the computer is helping me get ready for the game world. So, that counts for something right?

I felt like that before when i was 17 lol, now i'm 22, BUT i changed how i lived my life since then. I've had at least 2 adventures per week and 2 nights out every week.

The point being i didn't just wake up one day and did 500 things at once it's all about little steps you take.

E.g. if you learn something in dbp per day you'll learn 365 things per year, and within 2 years.. you'll be allot better than 4/5 of the people on this forum.

If you did 2 things that are wild and adventurous per week (No it doesn't have to be life threatening), that's 104 adventures per year, and at that rate you'll have an interesting cool life ^-^.

My last two adventures:
1. Went to rathlin island, for a few days. It was amazing, great bar service and great sights.
2. A little adventure to the beach with a few friends, quite fun.

And some last advice, if ANYONE asks you to do ANYTHING that you wouldn't normally do.. e.g. hey you up for going/doing ********* say yes <-- there is only a tiny few amount of exceptions to this rule lol

I felt like that when I turned 22, then I realized it may be the other way around.

I fine-tune my hobbies, drawing, playin guitar, programming, speaking 50 million languages, composing music etc. When I'm older, I will be able to do those, and many other things with utter grace. While the more social people wouldn't stand a chance in hades to match my excellence. Then I will proceed to take over the world.

Don't worry... when you actually do get old you'll look back on your life and wonder why you were so depressed by turning 23. You'll think "That's when I could do anything without this constant nagging pain all over my body and I was so full of energy I could work all day long.".

Really though you're not a full year older you're a day older... so is a day really that big of a deal?

Yes. It starts out slow, but age slowly creeps up on you. You begin losing your memory, and you can feel yourself getting weaker every day. Slowly but surely time has slipped through my fingers, and now there's not much time left. I'm fifteen and its time i accept that.

You know when your old when you get up to do something and can't remember what it was, two paces later.
