FPSC Classic Product Chat / how can i add names for my characters??

i want to add name on the characters like when i walk near therm their names uppear a the top of their head....is there a way to do this?

I guess you could but for best results use a source modification as normal FPSC doesnt allow you to make text float above characters heads. Although saying that to a certain extent it could be done in stock FPSC with scripting and huds but i dont see it working very well. It is done in FPSC X10 on characters that are friendly but it is hard coded into the source code.

yes i saw it x10 should i start using it?i mean i have som many isues to solve with the lag of my games and this is one reason more to use x10/////

If you can run it (check the specs thread first) then i would 100% recommend an upgrade

That would be fairly easy to script.
Here's a script I whipped up as an example.

ohh i know...i will make a hud appear there cause anway i use it only for characters that just stand still with npc talk script...

i have x10 but my problem is that not many of others do have x10...and if ill make games then they wouldn't be popular

Well many people will be gettign X10 ready PC's nwo that Windows 7 is nearly here and once that is out you will 100% not be able to buy new copies of XP so they will have no option but to upgrade.
