Alright, so this is a Fourth of July themed game. I meant to get it out yesterday, but I was pretty busy with parades and fireworks. This project was started on at around 11 PM on July third while I was watching Die Hard 2 on TV. I didnt get a lot of time to put into this, but I feel like there is enough stuff done that I might as well wrap it up and give it away.

The game itself is very simple. There are a bunch of blocks flying around the screen. The blocks will either be red, white, or blue. The object is to smash similar colored blocks into eachother to score combos. The catch is that the blocks will automatically run away from eachother. The only way blocks will hit, is if you throw them. If your wondering, the title comes from the idea that your combining the right chemicals to make a fireworks display. That idea never really got carried through into the game itself. Chemical USA was sort of inspired by TGC's Touch and Go.

A trailer is on its way to youtube, and attached is the required screenshot.

EDIT:
Okay, the trailer has been uploaded.

I watched the video looked nice. I liked the effects. It reminded me of the fireworks yesterday.

Good Job!

Unfortunately, not everyone is from the US. It's like me releasing this for July 1st; most people won't know what it would be for.

Yes I just gave it a shot and I suck! Perhaps, if you're going to keep working on this, allow the person to hit different colour blocks together to make different colours and combinations of explosions.

Independece day, of course.

It was a bit enjoyable graphically and sound wise, but the gameplay sort of lacked. The touch with the cubes going rampant when dragged fast enough added a gameplay feature it needed. I don't know what more to add gameplay wise to such a game though to make it better.

It ran really slow on my computer, or at least it seemed to. Everything was really choppy, and the controls were very unresponsive. It was so hard to get the blocks to move the way I wanted them that I couldn't ever get past the second set (with 2 red and 2 blue).
