Here is the info on the new game I am making with the realm crafter tool.

The world as you know it is no more. There are dead walking the street. Some cower before the walking dead others take out their shotgun and charge into the madness. What will you do?

Classes

Civilian: The regular humans. They find food and items the most out of everyone else. You definetley need these in a group to survive.(They can have guns too.)

War Veteran: Zombies don't scare you. You bust out that M16 and shoot till there's no tommorow. The Backbone of a group. The best with guns.

Medic: Medic's have medkits and healing items. They can heal players that have turned into zombie's. Their needed for a group. (They can still have weapons too.)

Zombie: If you die you will become one of these. The mindless bodies of the infected. Their slow but if their in a group they can be hard to handle.

There will be more classes to come.

Gameplay

You go around city's and forests killing undead making bases and searching for items. (Don't worry there will be vehicles too.) You can travel by yourself if you want but a group would probably be better. To find item's you can search a building but it would cost a scavange point. So you can't just wait at one building and find a M16, grenades, and a RPG in like 10 minutes.

The gameplay mostly takes place in a few giant cities and a few in the woods. Most of the zombies would be computers. It is not really based on the zombie it is based on the human part. But you can be a zombie if you want to.

Every building you can go inside. Every entryway has 5 levels of defense. You barricade the entryways (Door, windows, stairs) with items.

Level 1: Door/window is there
500hp

Level 2: Barricaded with wood
1000hp

Level 3: Sealed with cement
2000hp

Level 4: Metal bars over window/door
3000hp

Level 5: Solid Metal over window/door (building needs electricity)
4000hp

Dying: If you die as a human you will turn into a zombie. You can attack human players, but remember you'll only have your claws to do it. You will loose 50% of your items once you turn back into a human. But if you get healed by a medic you won't loose any of your items.

Skills

Guns

Pistol:Will be based on pistols

Single shot: Will be based on shotguns

Automatic: Will be based on machine guns

Long Range: Will be based on snipers and rifles

Heavy guns(War Veteran Only): Rocket Launchers etc.

Grenades: Will be based on grenades

Close Combat

Fists: Will be based on fists (You use your fists when you have no items)

Knives: Will be based on knives

Swords: Will be based on swords

Blunt: Will be based on any other item you swing like a bat or a chair

Electronic combat: Will be based on things like chainsaws

Vehicles

Land: Cars, Tanks, Jeeps, Mortocycles

Sea: Dingy's, modern boats

Miscelanious

Scavenging: You use this skill to search buildings for items, higher level equals better weapon and higher chance of finding it.(Civilians are best at this)

Health: How much life you have

Agility: How fast you move and what obstacles you can over come. example: climbing up a broken staircase

Fortifying: How fast you barricade a door or window and what level of defense you can make.

Radio: What kind of distance ranged radio's you can use. (So you can talk with other people that have a radio that has the distance to reach yours)

Medical

First aid: Can use items that heal small amounts of health

Surgery(Medic Only): Can use items that heal large amounts of health

Unanimate(Medic Only): Can turn a zombie back into a human (with the right item)

Is there just planning or have you actually got something going yet? We like to see tangible progress on this WIP board, not just ideas.

Hope to see some screenies soon.

Looks interesting so far, but what else have you done?
I see you have done part of the HUD, and have evidently got some sort of movement implemented, but have you only done the map? What about the AI, the weapons etc?

He will get to it soon. I know what it feels like for him to plan everything and show you some footage of gameplay.

I have to disagree with you. Planning a big game is actually 10% (or more) of the total effort of a project (So in reality there has been work in the game and its in progress), and with a good planning is easier to develop a game with step y step goals. If you read closely you can see that all is very clear and that he knows what he wants. So he is actually showing something. The other thing is that he can actually can keep with that planning.

Offtopic:
I agree with that Alfa X, but i know some people who make HUGE plannings, and they all know very good what they want, but a week or 2 later, the idea is in the trash bin.

Sorry it's been a while.
We are still working on it, and with some new additions to the team it's going along smoother.

Here is a basic map of the game.

Here are some picks of the first zone. It's about 50% complete we still have to add lighting, more buildings, and AI.

And it would be great if we could get some more people on our forums.

Didn't you post something like this on the RealmCrafter website? Also I would change what the lights look like on the 2nd Screenshot because it looks like a square. Apart from that, looks preety good. It looks like it wasn't made in RealmCrafter (unlike mine which always look like it's made with realmcrafter).

When will you upload the zombie pictures?

That's true, but you should really have more than 10% of your game done if you're posting it in WIP. You should at the very least have some basic functionality other than movement and a health bar.

it looks good but the building look very uniform, they have a structure of even spacinf but many building today are often bunched right toghether in an attempt to fit more, and you should move them closer to the pavement, or sidewalk so the you dont see that weird soil and also are you going to be adding any sort of debris in the street because right now it looks good but a bit to open

Well I'm not sure what the rules are for this board, but TGC is selling licenses to it. Also it has a scripting language, and it's capable of doing quite a lot (I've used RC since 2006 )

The first city seems extremely familiar, though turbosquid's free cities now seem better quality heh. I think another 3D site has a fly-through of it somewhere.

In other words, I don't think you modeled the city, however the second one looks like you placed that within a game.

Sorry if you modeled it, but it's just too much like one I've looked at for my own games a couple years back. It's not that hard to model in Blender tho once you get the feel for it
