Does anyone see html code in the "Subject" text boxes in each of the forums?

Because I can see it here.

I like the Polished Chrome look

It would be nice if it was possible to hide the left-hand nav-bar in order to give the forum section more screen space.

Two things I've noticed

1) Doesn't show new posts in a different color like before (really usefull in the bigger threads. Also doesn't show threads with new posts in them in bold, I hope this only a bug for me.

2) Doesn't show Mod titles anymore

Other than that it looks nice.

Yeah I know about the "new posts" thing, it's my first thing to add tomorrow. It's working behind the scenes, i.e. you're all recording what you've looked at etc, it just doesn't display it yet. I had to get the site up today without failure so that one feature has to wait a few hours

As for turning the left-hand nav off, yeah that's possible. I'll see what I can do, there are many additions to come.

Cheers,

Rich

Can you fix the site so it works in mozilla firebird.
The left hand section of the page is massive.

The problem is intermitant, sometimes it works others it doesn't.
It also goes away if I refesh the page, perhaps it's a bug in firebird.

Anyone else feel like they've been bombarded with a million new shiny toys at once and don't know where to start?!

I recall suggesting that and getting the reply of, "Wastes too much of our server space", someone give you out a free 120GB HD?

Very nice, although I liked having the forums easier to get to - it took me a while to work out how to get to them

.. although there is one little thing. I browse the web with the favourites menu open, and with it open some posts tend to go off the edge of the screen, meaning even for relatively short posts I need to scroll. I think the problem is the bar on the left with all the adverts. That's all.

Takes a bit of getting used to, couldnt find a lot of stuff at first, and a few errors here and there, but even so I like it.

im another one that thinks there are problems with this site. THe format I think is pretty ugly, too grey etc, i liked the light blue and white of the old forums, and the bold alert for new threads etc. Also that side nav bar is too big, its making teh posts to the right and its harder to read. also I cant remember if the old ones were rounded at the edges or not but this square thing isnt very appealling. Bring back the apollo format sorry if you put a lot of work into this, but i just don't like it myself.

Mystery solved, the borders around the page depend on which 'product' you're under. Originally I was under DBP so it was all blue, then I accidentally clicked on DarkMatter which made things green, after returning to the forums I was quite stunned.

people can still post 5 screen wide sentences and force everyone to scroll to read everything that follows, is it possible to lock the width of the posts in some way?

Mentor brings up a good point, I hate it when someone posts a
1024x768 pic cause you have to scroll left and right just to read
other's comments.
