Hi guys,

Well it took quite some time to build, but finally here is the new TGC web site and forum to go with it. Go gentle on the comments please, it's taken many sleepless nights, hard work and toil to get it to the stage it's at today. There will be many exciting enhancements to come in the immediate future and I hope you all like what you see.

Comments welcome. If you do manage to break it (and I'm sure it's possible somehow) then please don't post gloating about it, but email me as a matter of urgency so that I can fix it for everyone else to share! [email protected].

Woohoo, a new programming compo and we've got until 31st December to finish. At last, something to do over Christmas! Will definately be entering this one as prize is a rather snazzy pc.

Upgrade 5 also now available for download.

Yeah its great this site is, but the forums seem less forum-y because its basicly like a page in the site . Still, good job!

You didn’t kick them, you just pushed them with your foot at a very high velocity!

it would be nice if the menu at the left would not half the time be about 1100 px width ... I'm using FireBird Browser (Mozilla) ...

The site doesn't play nice with firebird. The side menu is somtimes the correct size and othertimes over 1000 px wide.

As Indi just said, there's an option on the profile>forum settings to make the forum slim and hide the left nav.

The slim option only applys to the view inside threads. Not to every single page.

Anyways, I really really love this new site Rich, nice job.

Indeed. So that means on the rest of the site's pages, the left hand side is stretched more than 1000px.

Overall I like the enhancements around here, especially since the slim line option is available now.

What I dont like is the lack of interesting posts to comment on, can we abolish the rules in the team requests please the forum is too inert and unentertaining these days.

This is just evidence that no matter what you do Rich, we - the community - will find fault.

PS: I think i'm supposed to be an Advanced Member with the DBDN amalgamation, i'm not sure it's all still a bit new, but my DBDN email is different - and my new email is different again.

The original email is now just a spam inbox, the DBDN email was because that used to be my only outbox but it had my full real name and I would at least have preffered an abbreviation because I have never, ever, been called 'Andrew' in my life so the new one is a funky @bansheestudios.com one that has replaced them all... Yep, i'm sad I check three mail boxes, some communications revolution this turned out to be...

Now I know why the menu on the left plays wrong sometimes

"width=160" thats what I got out of the page source which is not wc3 conform

plz change this values to width="160px", since 160 without the measurement is wrong and only Internet Explorer accepts it *Microsoft accepts everything thats wrong, must have to do with their own products * other browsers chose the measurement by themself ... and as you might think, if they chose inches there is a "little" difference

think opera users will have similar problems if the page is even shown in there ... the amayabrowser won't show anything else than a failure *gg*
