Dark GDK / problem compiling dll in Visual C++ 2008 Express

I have downloaded and opened http://developer.thegamecreators.com/?f=t03/index step-by-step help files, and when i compile it i get this error:

1>.\testcommands.rc(10) : fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file 'afxres.h'.

I have searched the forums and can only find this: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=141190&b=22 which is a similar (though not the same) problem.

it offered a solution which was to open the .rc file and replace the two occurances of afxres.h with winres.h but i get another error message:

1>.\testcommands.rc(10) : fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file 'winres.h'.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

Try to include "windows.h" instead. I have successfully compiled a resource.rc file with that setting.
