I installed update 5, and when I compile a project, the 3d does not display! Heres what I did to test

Do
Print "Hello World!"
Loop

Works Fine

Compiling "The Room"

1. F4
2. F5
3. Project Icon shows next to DarkBASIC Professio... on status bar, then goes away.
4. DBP IDE Minimizes
5. Sound for project starts, I can hear the wind and fire.
6. No 3D appears, I am staring at my desktop
7. I press ESC to exit the EXE and the IDE comes back up, just like it would if it was working properly

So, the problem is, I compile a program, everything works fine but no 3D shows!

Here are my specs

Hewlett Packard
Athlon 2600+ XP
2.08 GHz
Windows XP Home Edition
512 MB Ram
120 GB HD
GeForce 4 MX 64 MB
Default Drivers
DirectX V.9.0

Any help here?

Well always worth a try

only thing i could think of would be to reinstall DBPro, then update straight to 5

The main change between 4.1 and 5.0 is that the engine now runs entirely under DirectX 9. This means both 3D Card Drivers and the latest DirectX drivers must be working in perfect union. This is the most likely cause of the invisible 3D syndrome. Of course any more light you can shed will help define the problem.

Please make sure you are doing the following for the upgrade...

1) Please upgrade from Patch 4.1 to upgrade 5 (and NOT upgrade 5 beta 2/3 to upgrade 5 release).

2) Please make sure you have installed Direct X 9.0b

3) Please make sure you download and install the LATEST video card drivers from your manufactures website. DX 9.0b requires you to have drivers that are dx 9.0 compatible. Download them from whoever makes the chip on your video card.

4) Please make sure that you have at least 8 megs of video card ram. 64 or 128 megs of ram will work even better.

5) If you are still having problems. Uninstall DBPro completly, download latest video drivers and install, download latest direct X 9 (9.0b currently) and install that, then install DBPro from CD again and then install Patch 5 released version.

@Lee
So, what is the main change between Beta2 and final version?
Also with final version of upgrade5 I have the same problem you can see.
Please, don't ignore this post!

On the subject, does anyone know where I can find the latest drivers for NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 as I'm also having troubles getting some of the demos/examples to work.

Thanks is advance.
