I'm looking for some paid or free alternatives to animated guns for FPSC. Apparently, the only media available right now is EAI's, and honestly, with those files being encoded and the MAX files not available, it's impossible for me to work with them. Looking for some suggestions!

you can open up EAI's weapons in fragmotion, and save them as a .3ds.

Why remake a famous game when you could create your own?

When exporting to any format through Fragmotion, EAI's weapons mesh or animation get's messed up.

Bollocks. That does admittedly happen with many of the MP9/10 weapons, but the GCS guns all work great. Check out my youtube vids to see what can be done wih EAI's weaponry; EDIT: Wait a mo.

So why EAI or TGC doesn't update the Model Packs for customers that paid for the weapons and NEED to make modifications?

EAI can't do everything, dude. Aside from making loads of character variants, modeling, animating, uv mapping, rigging and texturing guns, not to mention that he has to keep up with all of the requests on his thread, I dare say a few little updates that people can probably go without is a pretty low thing on his agenda.

I really don't think that releasing uncompressed (non bzipped X models) versions of the weapons in MP9/10 is not a time-consuming, or difficult, task. In fact, you can just load the models on 3DS Max and export them again.

And i'm sorry, Toasty Fresh, but those are not "little" updates. If you're comfortable without changing the weapons mesh and animation and making your game exactly the same as the other 100's of games made by FPSC, it's your call. But i'm not interested in that, and since i bought the models, i should get the ability to modify them. Just like any other model pack sold by TGC, or any model pack sold by anyone (like Torque and Unity model packs).

Anyway, i really don't care about the unprofessional way that TGC and EAI handled the Model Pack 9 and 10 distribution. And that's why i'm here asking for alternatives.
