Hey, I have a JPG with the dimentions of 640x480 and no matter how much I try my images are always destored, or very pixelated.
I've tried using the "Load Image" switch to turn mipmaps off but it still distorts the image. Any idea's on how I can get around this?

Below is how I'm loading and using the JPG.

What window mode are you running the program in? Some will stretch the image to the desktop res. If the image is 640x480 and your desktop res is 1024x768 then that is a fair bit of stretching and it will be noticable. Try running it windowed.

It doesn't matter what resolution I run my program in it always looks the same, I've tried everything to reslove this issue so instead of wait for someone to fix it I'm going to write my own video and image loading routines via assembly.

My specs are:
Celeron 300A
Voodoo 3 3000 (16mb)
128 MB ram
Windows 98SE

JPG files do that.
There's nothing you can do to fix it, except change format.
I switched to PNG.
If you don't mind being limited to 256 colors, RLE will work too.
And while BMP's are huge files, so do they.
But the new DB engine really doesn't like JPG files at all!
And you can't get them to work no matter how hard you try.
(and I did!)

There is nothing wrong with DBPros JPG support that I've seen ...

It probably has more to do with the fact that 32bit images generally don't look as good when reduced to 16bit ... did you notice that he has a voodoo 3?

I've fixed it by cutting the image down to 256x256 pixels it seems if you have an image that has a size of 640x480 is destorts it
maybe its my graphics card I donno

but I have another issue I'm trying to make a volume control but
I'm not doing something right... can someone please have a look and see if they can help me out?

My files are 1024x768, and 1051x1350.
Maybe size is the problem.
Oh, well...
PNG's work just fine, and I need the graphics those sizes.
Shrinking them just isn't an option, for me.
