Hey, just hoping this is allowed, if not sorry.

I am trying to raise some more money so i thought i would offer my services for creating FPSC models, it would go as follows :

EDIT - If you now need a price, contact me

They will include all rights, if these are too high prices i can do discount options with limited rights.

I am not sure about weapons and characters yet, chances are i can do simple ones.

Here is some of my example work:

Nice stuff there. Just wondering, does that include textures? And how do we pay you? I might consider asking for some. You also mentioned redistribution, so we could put up here for free if we wanted? I'm not sure if I'll take you up on your offer, but I may.

Yeah textures come too, and through paypal, and with full rights you can do whatever you like, give them out for free if you want, just give me a lil' credit.

Kind of curious but what are you using to make your models and what program do you use to make textures?

The models look quite good, but the prices I'm not really sure cause I use US dollars ($) instead of UK pounds.

I think they're definately more than fair. Considering you're asking less than $1.00 per hour for your work, for the quality of your work; if I didn't know how to model myself I'd probably ask you for an entire model pack Good luck!

Thats pretty good pricing, I know the extensive detail that goes into some of Dexon's models are amazing, cant rember who it was, but they paid a modeler £60 per person model with a few deviations in textures/hair ect.

Yeah, i know that many people on here are indie developers and cant afford huge prices for work, so i thought i would charge a price that's in their price range while remaining a sum that will keep me motivated to do it.

I am just kinda curious..how does one know how much time you are actually putting into making the models? if your charging say £1 an hour and you make a model in 2 hours and you claim to make it in 4..wheres the evidence? how can you prove something like that?

if you right click on a file and go to properties it shows when it was created and last accessed and edited. so alsong as he saved it off the bat. granted there are flaws to this method. it would give you the idea.

It's all a matter of writing up a contract that you will both agree on in the end. If the receiver believes he was cheated and payed to much and takes the builder to court, then he would have to prove the time it took to make. He also has to report this sort of info when filing taxes. Not something you want to lie about in the end.

How can you people complain?

and btw easy way to sort this, tell him how much your willing to pay, so say, can you make a simple model within 2 hours. Though you'd probably get some outlandish requests casue thier being cheap but it works. And he will not go over two hours casue hes not getting paid for it, i thought that'd be obvious

You should still come up with some kind of contract to protect both of you encase of legal issues down the line. Even simple emails would be suffice. A document clearly stating hours spent and wage to be compensated.

That's just me though.

It saddens me to think that people believe i would cheat people into getting more money, well maybe not, i dunno

Let me get this across, i DO NOT and NEVER WILL cheat people when i do work for them, of course people are going to be dubious but i am not that sort of person, if anyone does need any work, i will be going on holiday for 5 days up in Scotland so you may get late replies, depends if the cottage has internet
