You know, Jason Brook also sold that exact same model/texture on the TGC store.

But the real question is... Who is the actual creator?

We seem to have 2 people who stole that model and claimed it their own anyway.

I think he meant this as a joke... it could be sarcasm from someone that doesn't quite understand plagiarism's full scope yet.

I think he doesn't deserve a ban, but a warning? I would easily have done a joke like this myself and admitted (later) it was a joke if I didn't understand what I was doing at 14 about. It's blatantly in lolcat language. He's not trying to sell, but most importantly he does contribute to the community and isn't just coming here to show off/sell material like that Visual DBPro and Amy model person.

Though I won't defend his position a second time, this doesn't belong in 3D chat for one thing.

Might as well make a plug for myself..

I already made the best wooden box crate, even ported it to fpsc..



See,.. to make mine photo-realistic just use HDRI lighting and a digital cam.

all things considered, regardless of where the crate came from, it's still a decent one.

Releasing something that isn't his own, and making it blatently obvious, deserves at least a noob slap. A ban would be a bit too hard, and letting him go would be a bit too easy.
