Dark GDK / Installation: New to Dark GDK

A few questions please:

1. I understand that Direct-X SDK 2007 must be installed for Dark GDK to run. Is this still the case and if so, can latter versions of Direct-X SDK sit alongside it ?

2. The Nov 2008 update, does this still need to be installed as well as the new Dark_7.3 files ?

3. Is the order of installation as follows:

Visual Studio Express 2008
SDK 2007
Dark GDK

Is there anything else I need to know ?

I have successfully installed Dark GDK and it's working fine. My questions are to help me enable a group of students to intall the software. When I installed it all initially, it took several hours
