Can it do all of this ¬

Weapons (and animating them) (and how do i class them as a weapon)

Characters (and animating them)(and how do i class them as a character)

Segments, (and how do i class them as a segment)

And, how do i class them as what they are?!!?!?
IS their better than milkshape coz i've got a £1000 budget.

Milkshape is the best value for a low price. It can do it all. and is a great program to learn the basics of modeling. You'll need to use another app for getting your creations FPSC ready like:

FPSCreator segment editor.(free)
Entity Workshop (free)
FPSC Toolbox ( not free, But worth the money!)

In the Universe, nothing ever stays the same.

And you can get a fully functional (Shareware) version of Milkshape to use for free for 30 days. After that all save features are disabled. But you can continue to practice with it, until you can pony up the $35 registration fee. Really worth it, in my opinion...if not just for the formats you can export to!

I use AC3D to make my models, and 3dcanvas pro + Fragmotion. To animate. AC3D in my opinion is a great way to easily make models, once i finish the model i just import to 3dcanvaspro animate and tweak with Fragmotion. Maybe its a strange way to do it but it works for me!
