is there any way to prevent a running dbpro project from going nuts when the screensaver kicks in?

Not sure about that but I have the reverse problem, I wrote a screensave in DBPro and if i'm playing Everquest there isn't enough graphics memory left for it and the app bails out... not just that, but Windows then detects there isn't a screensaver running...
