Geek Culture / My Crysis Multiplayer Experience

Needless to say, I don't have a 22nd century supercomputer, so to play it smoothly I have to set everything to low. Now, all graphics aside, Crysis single-player gameplay is awesome, don't get me wrong there. Then, I decided to try multiplayer...

Well, the first hurdle was finding a server to join. After creating an account, I found that, not to my surprise, most of the servers were using an outdated version of Crysis, meaning they didn't bother to download hundreds of megabytes worth of useless patch content. So, that's roughly 65% of all servers eliminated. Next, I filtered it down to only servers who weren't empty or full or had a password. That took about half of the remaining servers away. After about 30 minutes of fooling around, I was finally able to get into the game.

My first impression was, wow, I have all this open area, there are bases, and and plenty of jeeps. So, I hopped into the nearest vehicle I could find. It wasn't more than a couple minutes of bad driving that I hit a dead end. So, I got out, looked around, and watched as my car blew up for no apparent reason. Wow. So, I respawned, and was promptly kicked from the server. Why, I don't know. So, I rejoined. I decided to just walk this time, and found some flying vehicle that appeared to be occupied. So, I climbed aboard, only to hear the jerk behind the wheel yell at me to get off. Eventually, it ended by him ramming me into a guard tower. Yeah, love you too. Then guess what? I got kicked again! By this point, I was really pissed. So, I rejoined, and hopped in a jeep again. Guess what happens next? The punk in the cruiser shot my tires out, and I was kicked again! When I tried to rejoin, I couldn't find the server on the list.

To sum it all up, the Crysis multiplayer community seems to be composed mainly of elitist mentally challenged army rejects who spend their time sitting blank-faced in front of the computer fighting imaginary wars and taking it seriously. Well, back to Halo.

WINNER list:
Latch, Lee Bamber, TDK, TheComet
Thanks for the help!

People play games a lot, you know? You are the old lady on the freeway and there isn't a cop in sight to stop them whippersnappers from grazing your Buick at 90 mph. Well, back to bingo.

Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.

Try Crysis Wars. Ive found the communtity to be suprisingly better. And with team instant action and more maps, its all together a better experience. And just a little random bit, thanks to my recent PC upgrades, I play in MP and SP with all visuals maxed out.
