sorry, but for me ( slow connection) it is just unusable. And i just discover this typing lags WAY behind my fingers grrr..
Objections?

slow loading.
forced reload when going 'back'
forced scrolling to see things... even on max res. ... which i never normally use anyway.
It is no doubt a product of much good work, but it represents a philosophy of overcomplex web design that i reject completely.

And get rid of the frames in a forum ( !)

so much for this character .. i shall drop in from time to time perhaps.!
Pity... some good thoughts and people here ..
shall miss it greatly

One thing I would like removed is the line between

It makes it a pain to browse with a text browser (links/lynx) because You can't see who wrote which posts.

It uses EXACTLY the same post form box as before. This sounds like a browser issue to me. Only Javascript could make it lag and it's identical, line for line, to the previous version.

What frames?! There isn't a single frame on the site. Unless you mean the left hand navigation of course, in which case turn them off then, Forum Profile preferences - Slim option!

This site was never and will never be designed for Lynx. Be thankful it even renders at all!

I haven't used lynx in 10 years.
I think that pretty much says what I think of Lynx.

yeah, over-complex web design. Go ahead and stick to your grey backgrounds with no javascript or anything post 1995. Beter yet, go back to Lynx.

I find browsing the pages a tad slower. But like i say its nothing i'd complain about(see my forum post :p). When i'm actually reading threads its fine. An i'm on 56k, so i can't really complain.

It's possible it _renders_ slower for you, but from a code point of view it's faster by a significant factor. Slimline mode should help as it'll kick out the left nav and stop a load of JS getting loaded that you don't need.
