So okay.

I just started making a game ( my first ) and now I am looking for some programms that are free and give some good results. My plan is to make a world similar to the world of WoW. I read about FPS and TED in the tutorial section, but i would really like some advice.

Also am i trying to find a good programm to make like characters and tables etc. My friend recommended Blender. But he sais its really hard to udnerstand.

Wel, already thanks for even reading this and i hope that you will help me.

PS: Sorry for my bad english. It's not my native language.

I recommend Blender. It's not hard once you get the basics down.

I read the English version of the manual. There should be translations on that site.

WoW is not a real game... games have objectives, skill, and player rewards. I don't know how it got popular without those 3 things... hehe

It's not so hard to understand if you take the time to learn the user interface. Sure, it's scary at first but just take a couple tutorials and you'll be using Blender efficiently in no time.

@mike5424:

I think you got my point wrong. I don't want to make a game like WoW, but a world, like with mountains and woods etc. not like in UT2003 that almost everything is inside buildings.

And I am making the ginger bread man in blender and it is really easy when you get to know how everything works.

I only need a program to make the landscapes. Maybe you know one.

And thanks for getting me into blender guys. It really is a good program.

Well I came across one problem while making gus. When the tutorial edits him. They can edit him as one part. But when I edit him, the head needs to be edited unconnected to the body. How to you make them like one part instead of two??

Ignore my post about the head of gus. Needed to add the head in editor mode instead of object mode xD.

blender if you subdivide a plane then move the squeres around its perfect!
you could also use wings 3d. it would have to be the most simple software ever! just make a grid and have a mess around moving the squeres

@Encrypto Studios: Sorry, but since i'm still a new member my posts need to be checked by mods. And when i needed to go off the comp my post was not checked, so I posted that message after it so you would ignore it. And about terrasculpt ( think it is written like that ), when I search for it on google I only get hits about an atelier in canada. So maybe you have a link or something I could use?

@mike: what do you mean with sparkeys dll?? And I tried making a landscape in blender, but I think that with a real editor you can get a nicer effect. But thanks for the help.
