Hey,

Is it possible to get windows like toolbar in a darkgdk project.

Like this:

I understand that for those image buttons i would need a image. But like help and project and file and edit, and such.

Thanks,

Red Eye

Yes it is possible to make a windows like tool bar, in fact I'm making one for a level editor I'm making.
To get started, I'd recommend that you plan out all of the buttons and features you want it to have, then start making it.

Ok i have planned all.

I know it is possible. As in c++ alot is possible. I was wanting a methode, or something to get started with. I have seen CLR projects and such and sounds good. Is that the way? Could i implent that to my game editor interface directly by adding a new item?

EDIT: What you see above is the main thing BTW.

Thanks,

well I'm still in very early stages of my gui-thing as well but what I'm in process of doing is figuring out where each Icon is.
then you can do a check:
if its over icon 1 do this
icon 2 do this, ect...

Yeah true but WinAPI is difficult to intergrate with DarkGDK.

Shouldn't be too difficult, just a matter of getting the hWnd of the window along with the hInstance and stuff and creating the window. i am pretty sure windows.h is included when you include darkgdk.h so thats already done.

Although creating your own GUI would be a hole lot cooler but A LOT of work lol.
