how do you make a room pitch black?

i just cant figure it out.

First of all you'd want to go to your Build Game window via the File dropdown list in FPSC.
Next, you go to the Level Settings tab, where you will find a field named Global Script.
Click the Edit button for Global Script, to which another window will pop up.
Finally, go down to the 4 fields indicated as Level Ambience, Ambience Red, Ambience Green, and Ambience Blue.
For total pitch black ambience, simply change all 4 of those settings to 0, and click ok
