To QuothTheRaven:

I read some of your posts a while back about the Ray Engine, which uses super mario 64 levels. I can't see the screenshots because your site http://www.delvarworld.com is down.

Can you please explain how you got the levels from Super Mario 64, and can you at least try to email me the screenshots?

This could have worked well with an email instead.

I sent the email and this is what i get.

Now is QuothTheRaven on the forums because a few days ago he got his thread locked and the moderator said "take a vacation from the forums", which tells me he got a temporary ban.

I'm not certain, but I think the 'x' on the end of his email may have been similar to a NOSPAM - either that or a typo of some form. Purely because it seems a bit of an odd email address (fairly arbitrary 'x')

Try it without the 'x'

Gah it doesn't work again:

Maybe he spelled his email wrong? His username is QuothTheRaven, but his email says [email protected]. In the meanwhile, I would prefer he answers on the forums so it would be less of a hassle.

Tried it as QuothTheRavenX.

Bad report again:

Either something's wrong with Charter.net, or QuothTheRaven has the wrong email address. This is startingto get on my nerves.

If the mailbox can't be found, then your request is reaching the server. So his email address must be wrong (there's no way it can be your ISP's fault)

They're not in plaintext. At least read the source before 'bashing' it

Oh, I thought you were referring to the forum itself (which actually obfuscates the emails).

In either case though, your comment is pointless - why does it matter if he leaves an email address which doesn't work in plaintext?

My email works, QuothTheRaven's doesn't

I'm not even suree if he's banned for good. I checked his recent threads his ISP may be blocked.

Yeah of course I did!

Thraxas locked the first thread, and then QuothTheRaven has tried to email the mods about Thraxas and then BatVink says "this thread is locked". If he is still reading this, hopefully he sends me an email cause I don't think his email is destroyed.

Anybody ever emailed him in the past or have any way of contacting him?

Maybe he left to find a forum that automatically put his URLs in links. Godspeed to this valiant effort.

lol

Maybe I just haven't been around long enough, but I thought it very odd that such an old member would, out of nowhere, go on a tirade like that.

Jeff032, I don't have an AIM. In fact, anybody with an AIM should contact him and tell him to look at this thread, maybe his self-esteem will rise.

His Ray Engine, just from the descripton is quite good, people said he should expect "a flood of demo requests"

But I think he has left, but Thraxas says that QuothTheRaven should be back but yeah...

When I click on his AIM, it says "Web site not found"

I have a few reasons on what happened to QuothTheRaven recently:

a) His computer is infected with a trojan horse. His account, email, website, and AIM are hacked.

b) Suicide perhaps? (i highly doubt it though)

c) He just left...

His past posts are nice, and then suddenly he goes mad, this makes me feel quite suspicious....

So no way to contact him, unles in person, but I don't know where he lives, nor what he looks like, nor anything about him.

I wouldn't look into it too much (especially if it goes towards suicide theories), people have left before in the same manner.

There used to be someone called indi who left in a similar way.

It doesn't really work. It just says "Send AIM user a message"

I'm starting to think QuothTheRaven got a trojan horse, I can't even access his site and his threads have suddenly changed. His threads are about DBPro and 3d modeling and then suddenly he says "Oh this forum needs changes, and such..."

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I belive its called a nervous breakdown,

OR

It could be a passive anger from something in his life that has now bled into tiny frustrations making them the focus of his anger. The simple act of having to hyperlink you own links is not perticuarly a horrible crime, but it grew on his frustration untill he broke. It must have been something stressful to casue such a uproar over nothing.

Yay physcology, I skipped the boring part and went to reading people lol,
I had a stupid streak the other week, got a three day ban for it not really complaining about it.

Sid Sinister is your AIM username:

In this case if I am correct, then QuothTheRaven's AIM is:

I don't feel like using AIM, I checked the register and I have to fill in information that doesn't even apply to me.

Should have made this thread earlier while QuothTheRaven was on the forums, but now he's probably gone...

He'll come back eventually... I'm sure he's just mad. Can you show me the links to the messages he talks about the Ray Engine?

I did a search for him and found these:

Searching for DelvarWorld I found out he has a Digg account:
http://digg.com/users/DelvarWorld

In which there's a picture with his real name... which made me click on this site since it had his first name:
http://identi.ca/delvarworld

That takes us here (to I assume is an older website of his):
http://andrewray.me/

That shows his twitter site (that he hasn't been to in months):
http://twitter.com/andrewray

And also takes us here:
http://www.sausagefunnel.com/

Another account of his is at the International Game Developers Association using the same email address as here but he hasn't posted here since 2005:
http://www.igda.org/member/freeuser.php?uid=46306

On that site he declares:

I think Digg would be your best bet... everything else so far are dead ends.

These are the only fields I see:

Desired Email Address
Password
Account Security Question & Answer
Zip / Postal Code
Birthday
Gender

So which of those do not apply to you? Gender? Birthday? Hopefully you have a zip / postal code?
