Actually you use GCC, as Dev-C++ itself is independent of the GNU project. I also suggest you replace that as the version of GCC that comes with Dev-C++ is around 5 years out of date.

You should try Visual C++ express, or the Mingw distribution of GCC with either the Eclipse IDE or Mingw developer studio or any of many other IDE's.

As for me, I use various utilities within the CYGWIN project (including GCC), GnuPG as a backend for Thunderbird PGP encryption, and that's about it.

Why is it that you are asking?

Code::Blocks IDE with GCC 4.3 compiler, cross compiling for Win32 with MinGW.
