Hello, I am attempting to make an rpg, I know it will be hard and difficult (both are the same word oh well) any how I need some help I dont know how to make a tile editor or a event editor if anyone could point me th correct way on how to make or code one would be most helpfull. I would also ask that this thread not turn into a fight and I am fully aware how difficult rpg's are.

Iam working on an RPG (isnt everyone? ) im not using a tile editor. Iam building an event editor. I would recomend you have your game access a text file (data file). Your editor will add to it, and have certain information written to it.

Iam basing mine on the Auroa Toolkit (Neverwinter Nights by Bioware Toolkit).

For a tile editor, you can use Mappy.

Event Editor is based on what you want to do.

First set exactly what you want to be able to script and what not and then start building a script language around it thats written by the event editor ... will be the easiest and most effective way I think, but only for projects that reach a certain complexity in their worlds
