Long ago, she was on TV. I loved her show. She had great assets. Lovely tracts of land. She was round, firm, and fully packed and...

er... um... and...

And she presented great movies too (well, except for The Blob. I thought that was an amorphous ameobic waste of protoplasm). My personal favorite will always be "The Incredible Melting Man".

Do any of you have any favorite B grade horror movies?

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...

Ah yes, the Mistress of the Dark. I would link to her website, but if our fellow forumers are offended by some racy Google ads, I'd better not go there.

Did she have movies on her show? I don't remember any movies. Just long commercials between her showing her..... assets. She did it so well.

Brian.

Oddly enough, I just finished watching a very b-movie, er, movie. A Haunting in Connecticut. Any movie that isn't at least 20 years old should not include ectoplasm in the storyline! xD

There were a few early 80's horror movies that were cheesy, in fact dozens of them! - Parasite, Trolls, the sort of thing you would see trailers of every time you rented a video. Low budget, badly written, and a cast you've never heard off - not like these days when they spend a fortune on a movie and get a good cast, then still make it cheesy as hell.

My favorites were the 'last man on earth' ones, where you had one survivor looking to repopulate the world after some nuclear war or whatever - Fallout3 reminds me of them a lot, anyone remember the names of those films?. I still watch this stuff, even just to have a laugh at it - if you can rip into a film and pee yourself laughing at it, then that makes it just as worthy as the next, previous, and any Jack Black comedy regurgitation.

The thing that got me at the very end of "The Incredible Melting Man" was the monster's fate. He wasn't shot up by an army of rifle wielding soldiers/maniacs, he wasn't blown up by determined protagonists... no... instead...

He melted into a pile of mush and was mopped up by a janitor the next morning.

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...

Silent Night Deadly Night 2 is the B-grade 80s 'horror' movie (it's trying to be a psychological thriller, but in reality it just ends up as an extremely bad slasher movie)

Example:

(^ *WARNING* NSFW / Explicit language)

I bought this film on DVD, purely so I could laugh at it. Seriously, it's that bad.

I love watching B-Movies and college films. I have a really funny one called "Road Lawyers and Other Briefs".

The main story is a Mad Max type short where the only people alive are Lawyers because everybody that wasn't a lawyer were killed during the Lawsuit Wars... except one man that was in a coma at the time (an unconscious rejector). The thing they cherish most is coffee and kill each other for a even a single drop of it.

It's McFly!!! <knocks on head>

Crispin Glover is a great actor. I have a B-Movie with him as the star... Rubin and Ed. It's where his cat is dead and he stored in his freezer till he can find the perfect place to bury him. With the help of Ed wanting him to go to a motivational seminar he's able to leave his room to find the "perfect spot".

This pic is where he tells a whole group of people at a seminar after the speaker yells "Who are you?" at the crowd... he replies "I am the king of the Eco people.". I love that movie.

I'm sure you'll love it. There's a scene in there that'll make you want to laugh and hurl at the same time.

That's the perfect description of modern comedy movies.
