i have a few suggestions for FPSC future updates

*Dual Weilding - not like in MP6, actuall dual weilding, as in we can pick up one weapon and when holding a button pick up another weapon, like in Halo

*Better AI - the current AI is buggy (no offence) and we need to be able to have ally AI like in x10, most third party ally scripts don't work that well or are limited

*Flashlight - FPSC needs a built-in flashlight or nightvision script

*Dynamic Shaders - this would be good for applying better shadw effects or indeed camouflage like in Halo and Crysis(i had been disscussing it a while back)

*Larger Space In Level Editor - i mean come on, what game is that small regardless of height in the Y direction?

*More Scripting Commands - i don't mean make it completely open source but add more commands, even just little ones, for felxibility

*Screen Recording - This would be an excelent feature as alot of people (including me) choose to make cutscenes in game with the help of others on multiplayer maps while recording with third party sofware

*Environment Changes - such as earthquakes(the screen rattles around)

Don't think i'm complaining or just haveing a winge, quite the opposite, i love FPSC, i'm just stating ways to make FPSC better

Dual wielding= Ply's Mod

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Anyways, I believe most of what you said can already be done.

Dual Wielding= see above

Better AI= You can probably do more with the third party ai's than you can with x10. Currently, none of x10's ai can: follow waypoints, walk up stairs, many other things essential to enemies and allies.

Flashlight: There are a bunch of these floating around.

Dynamic shaders: That would take a lot of source code modification to work properly.

Larger space in editor = Levels get laggy in the editor if they start getting too large anyways (unless you use a performance enhancing mod). I would just break it down into other levels, or change the level allot (ala Beyond Life)

FPSC is open source, if that's what you meant. How do you think we have mods? Anyways, almost every mod does that.

Screen Recording = Eh, third party applications work fine. X10 has this, but the resolution is awful. Plus, it seems horror mod has it too.

Environment changes = Airmod adds camera shake commands. Almost every mod has Airmod implemented, so that's pretty much covered.

These are some great ideas, but I believe TGC has their hands tied with Iphone apps...

thanks guys for the replys but what i mean is that all these features should built in so we don't have to get a mod. don't get me wrong i love mods(i'm making one) and my fav is plymod, it's just that i think fpsc could stand to implement these features

and no FPSC is NOT completely open source, you can only mod the FPSC-Game.exe, not the level editor etc.

In one of the recent newsletters they said they are working on making the editor open source as well.

Well, the only ones in it that i am sharing are:

rotateawayfromplr,rotatetoright, and rotatetoleft.

Even though these are ridiculously simple, you can make AI appear smarter.

Anyways, just wait until version 1.00

I have a lot of plans.

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.
