The resolution could be a little bit higher, but the scenery looks realistic enough.

Neat . It suffers from the 'I'm a giant bug' syndrome, but generally works well. I got to the peak and saw the edges of the ocean, weee!

Thanks for the feedback so far guys...
Mouse,
you did well to get to the top, I've made it pretty difficult.

It involved finding the right path and looking straight up

That's good object collision btw. Obviously it's an X object and not a matrix, so it's not just the usual stuff. Personally I prefer the movement model of constant movement-- which I tend to get by X rotating the camera to 0, and then back to its old amount right before the Sync-- but it's still very good collision, better than what I've managed to do .

Padawan,
There are no extra dll's required. It is just a standard DBPro program made with patch5. Perhaps you have not upgraded to DirectX9..

This one is just called 'Iceberg'. The horizon is curved and it is a little more difficult to get to the top. 800x600 res.

I still think this should become a sticky!!!!
I have 3 questions
1) any updates?
2) do you plan on releasing source code?
3)What modeler did you use to make the iceberg?
I think I play it every other day

Hi Padawan,
Here is the final Chapter in 'Arctic Night, The Wanderings of an Iceberg'. Called 'Safe Harbour'.
It has a lightweight Gui so Users can choose a Screen Resolution.
(DirectX 9, 32bit colour depth, 3mb download.)

Check out Kensupen's '.x collision' Code in the 'Snippets Forum'.
The Iceberg was originally created in Bryce.

There has been a huge download response to this program,
I guess people are really eager to see what DBPro can achieve.
In it's current format, I think Arctic Night has probably reached it's potential...
With a re-structure it has the makings of an excellent game.
I'll be giving it some thought over the next while..
In the mean time, happy climbing and sliding.

Hi Stealth,

Pincho,
Yep, I guess you could call it a 'Natural Cyber High'.
