I believe the exact factors are something that the forums mods have discretion over.
Basically, once you are proven not to be a spambot or a nuisance a mod will lift the probation. It usually takes around a week or so, but if you make some contributing posts it may be lifted sooner.
The idea is to let the mods know that you will be a valuable member of the community, its not only for spam bots either, some people are pests, and some people are just plain abbusive and aggressive and the mods have to police all that kind of thing.
You kind of need to forgive the harshness of the policy, but in reality this is one of the best forums that I actively participate in, I've never seen any spambots at all, and abusive/rude/pest members are dealt with quickly and fairly, and their posts removed if they are offensive, that kind of thing.
Anway, give it a little longer, your join date is only a couple of days ago, so its likely to be a few more yet
