For a couple day I've been seeing ads for the Terminators on SciFi channel. I notice in the ad that its not an real terminator movie and it has crappy effect. I look it up and find the people who made it The Asylum. Makers of great movies such as Transmorphers, Alien vs. Hunter, The Da Vinci Treasure, Sunday school music, and Death Racers. How can a company like this exist, why haven't they been shut done. Why does Scifi channel play crappy movies like these. why are they call syfy channel now? I personally find it funny in a way, they make a crappy movie name it something similar to the big budget movie and fool morons into buying it.

Transmorphers probably has Gludious Maximus in the cast. And if you didn't know, he's the leader of the Autobutts.

Quote: "Sunday school music,"

I noticed that when looking to see what DVDs to buy, and I just shook my head, especially when I read the pun, "Sister, get your act together." Sister Act...wow, how clever. Terrible.

Which is completely stupid

Sci Fi stands for science fictions. What the hell does SyFy stand for. I was extremely irritated when sci fi changed their name.

Call me weird but my family and I watch the Sci fi channel a lot.

It's very simple actually. The budget of the movies are so cheap. They can pump out several movies at extremely low costs. They may make very little off each movie but they make so many.

Quote: "and fool morons into buying it."

That statement there also helps answer the question "why does scifi play crappy movies?" They're extremely cheap to make and they can fool people into watching them.

I actually quite enjoy all the crappy movies they make. I love watching movies where people do the stupidest things because it makes me laugh. That's why horror movies are some of my favorite movies, because people do the stupidest things. So these crappy movies, to me, are entertaining.

Signature's are stupid.

*sigh* Science Fiction used to be (quite) prestigious. The voice of the future and all that. And people used to make *thoughtful* science fiction plots, too.

Of course, maybe I'm wrong and there have been stupid blockbuster aline invasion movies ever since the saucer days of the 50s, but I can't help feeling uneasy about the level of stupidity and thoughtlessness that has to go into something like "Transformers".

Which is why I like "Moon". A lot! It's not perfect but it at least has the right idea.

Okay, sorry, cultural rant over. Feel free to go back to watching planets explode.
