I am coping images to Image 0 for a menu system. Everything was working out great until I tried to find a way to clear the screen to begin a game. The images would not go away. Has anybody had this problem or know how to clear the image from the screen?

By image 0, do you mean the screen ?

It sounds like you may be using sprites to display your menus.

If so, you'll either have to delete them, move them offscreen, or hide them, or change the way that you display them in the first place (hint: paste image).

Yep, Image 0 is the screen. I'm not using sprites. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to clear Image 0. I tried CLS, DELETE IMAGE 0, ect.. and nothing. I had thought about trying to copy a black image to the screen and use transparency but that just doesn't sound very efficient.

Well, you cant clear image 0 - its gives an error message if you try and so something with it. So, you need something like :

SET CURRENT BITMAP 0
CLS 0
