That happened to me as well. Once the new forum is under control, Rich, how about changing me back to just plain 'Steverino' ?

You just drop him an email asking him to fix it for you. He was expecting a few problems like this.

Just put 'Pretty please Rich, fix my forum name' in the subject line.

prefer the name Cathy anyways... but from what i understand Rich can't currently recover old usernames/emails addresses.

Just use your current address and put Rose. , i'm not sure but from what i understand it is the entire accounts that are lost. So try changing your current username to Rose - see if it works ... if not just use some simple punctuation.
Forgot my password and email account fo polycount rencent so when i signed back up had to put my name as [Raven] - silly by people will no doubt recognise me.

it should be easy for rich to just find your old username in the mysql database and to check your details, i cant see why you shouldnt be able to login.

are you shure your using the right email address you signed up with?

its a weired bug if its the actual forum code causing this, unless the database became slightly corrupt?...

I tried just changing my name to Rose but it says another user has that name.

Yeah, it's because your account still exists it's just you've either forgotten your email (possibly because you don't use it anymore) or your password.

I reckon it was easier to just login with the Username like before, now ive gotta type out my damn email address every time i login. Hmph.

When I logged on, it asked for my email address, so I just typed in the one I used to use when I created my dbpro forum account and everything was fine.

I had the same problem ... I forgot the old email.
I created a new account, then I remembered my old email, so I came back to this nick. But how can I delete the new account ?
