Hey, this is just a suggestion, and i no way is meant to challenge or pressure TGC, but i thought it was an interesting idea, so i thought i would put it forward.

We have 33 model packs now, quite a lot of good models, but why don't we try selling more than models, but media packs, E.g Music or textures, i thought it was a good idea because it could be a way of getting more unknown members with good talents aside models to be seen, and get their work showcased on a site, like i said just an idea, but there we go

Like the idea, especially because of the music.

I think FPSC needs more music. Like in different themes:
Sci-fi (with all the weird effects)

WWII (some sort of classical war themes)

Fantasy (same as WWII but think more like Lord of the Rings style)

Horror (low ambient sound with some sound effects in the background like water drops or some footsteps think like Condemned actually)

And also! (third edit) Music like Clive Barker's Jericho.
If anyone knows how that sounds i think they would agree
Its simply beautiful. (by the way if anyone with good experience in making music and can make a similar style like that....email me )
not want to high jack your thread Asteric. If you think this is inappropriate just say so.

I've tried the demo of that game, it's quite fun, though sadly underrated. Indeed, the music is intense - the problem is when I play on a difficulty any higher than "easy" those guys with the exploding crossbow bolts own me.

Well Asteric, I understand that it is a good idea you have there, I mean I'm not a modeller either.
But I think the problem is it's hard to preview music tracks or textures. Because if they show all the textures on the site, people can just right click "save image as" and baically get the whole pack for free. For music I guess they can just take some recording software, record the bit of the music, and loop it.
But it's a great idea, and I have nothing against it at all.

They could upload pictures of the textures ingame.
And some with an watermark on it.

As for the music, probably like itunes. Just a small piece of the music which can be listened to.

Or they could do the ever annoying "Preview" like in the TGC store

Well, they can watermark the texture, or provide a small res image, that would have to be scaled u in a game, which would look like crap

Nothing stops you from selling your pack in the forum
I guess this would be more related to the "Outside of FPSC" .
Doesnt TGC allready sell texturepacks? Or am I wrong?
