Maze Run
By Mike Zielinski
zzabb@yahoo.com

This runs with DBpro
Using 640 by 480 screen settings
You move with the arrow keys
The maze changes each time you play
The cheeze may even be in a different location
The yellow dot on the map is the cheeze
You are the blue dot
Now go find the cheeze

Because of the bandwidth restrictions on my hosting site
An exe is not included with this download

If you email me I will send you one

you can get the media from here

First off, get your code right! There is an 'endwhile' in the code but no matching 'while', do code won't compile. Command before says 'if l#0' . This forum messes up < and > signs sometimes.

Anyhow, just commented out both commands and it now runs.

Why not just include the source code in the zip?

Right back to game. Pretty good for a first attempt. Suggest you learn about sliding collision so you don't keep sticking to the walls. Your idea of random maze is a bit dubious as all that is different is position of cheese!

I like the little map it draws as you around.

thanx for the sugestion i didn't know that the code doesn't cut and paste well, i just cut and pasted it and it worked fine for me, i'm sorry

i will include it in the zip, i'm changing it now

the maze does change each time, the basic structure doesn't, but the way to the cheeze does

Plus I didn't know that DBpro doesn't have the 255 character restriction that DBreg has, so that’s why the code looks a little funny, trying to cram in everything in 20 lines of code at 255 characters

It's pretty damn hard to win .
Needed 26 timeunits.

Hmmm interesting.....

There appears to be nothing wrong with the code or images, nevertheless I get 'Could not load image at line 1'

I know it's not the image size because I can easily load 800x600's and I even tried shrinking it....wonder if it's a bug in DBPro Update 5....
