Ultimate FPS Creator Contest's Main Thread states that the contest is over.

When were the winners announced, and in what thread?

A contest is not over until the winners are annouced.

I see the point in locking the entry thread once the deadline for the entries has come, but why lock the main thread?

How is the contest over at the dealine for entries????

Was this instomatic judging or what?

That has to be the fastest judging process I have ever heard about.

It is hard for me to believe that locking the main thread makes any sense.

Why force us to create multiple threads to discuss the contest?

Where were the winners announced because I did not see that in the main thread?

They weren't announced but maybe they will make a thread called something like "Ultimate Contest Winners"

But why not let us talk about the contest whilst we wait?

I have a hard time grasping the logic behind locking the main thread, unless they want us to clutter the forum with umpteen posts about the same contest.

I want to give the entries a try, but I have limited bandwidth restrictions so I may not be able to download them all at one time.

I hope I can still have access to downloading the entries later on, so you guys keep them up for a while please.

If you did submit an entry and can't leave it up long then let me know and I will download it first.

I'm not a judge, but I still want to check out the entries.

There is a thread where all the valid entries have their download links - I tried them all out allready and highly recommend you give "Silentfalls" a shot.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

It takes ages to play all the games guys i myself have been at work until today i have a life to contend with also and the results will be out by friday this coming week. I locked the main thread so that it doesn't keep getting spammed with un-necessary posts all the time, i will most likely ask a mod to un-lock it and i will add the results there which will bump it up to the top of the forum again for all to see.

EDIT: Emailing a mod now to get it unlocked for the time being so expect it to be re-opened soon so you can all chat

Bear with me once i have all the other judges results they will be added up and will be announced.


Mods: They have an answer, if you could lock this as i dont want anything bad to come out of this thread that could cause arguments or such.

Like SSG and the Next said, we can't just play the games in seconds. I had to re-play several games because I didn't make it to the end on my first try, and I never saved. All my results are, but I don't know if I can post. All I have to say is that I really like Virus.

I know it is going to take time to judge.
That is why I was shocked that we were not expected to be able to use the main thread to chat while we wait.

The winners can be edited into the top of that thread.

I just wanted to be able to hear people's opinions about the entries whilst we wait.

Thanks for unlocking the main thread, and yes please lock this now guys. (and thanks for waiting for me to request that)
