A new one:

I should be up on the store soon. This is going to be part of a range of items I hope to include in an RPG pack (for Diablo-esque isometric style gameplay, but still looking effective close up), reasonable detailing, soft, low-poly.

Comments welcome Also, if anyone would like to request any specific types of objects for this style then please do. My next plans are for columns, pews, arches, fountains, other style tables/alters etc.. for a dungeon/cathedral type set.

Thanks heyufool. I decided to add that as the model looked a bit plain on it's own, it was meant to be a sort of sacrificial bowl or something like that. Maybe I'll modify it and put a skull in there or something!

Looking good again, i would try adding some lines into the texture, and make the book look like it has pages.

Or you could fill it up with blood, or have blood running down the sides, I think that might get the message across

heyufool: Yes that was also an option I thought of I'll try to get round to it!

Asteric: Thanks. Add lines where? Or do you mean to the book? It does actually have lines already, just not very distinct from that angle. I know the mapping on the front isn't very good, but it wasn't really designed to be viewed from such extreme close up

I would darken the lines a bit, just to make it stand out more.

Ah, the light stone cracks? Yea I tried them with a bit more opacity but didn't seem right. If I get a chance I'll modify the tex tonight, and also do a sharpen aswell, and maybe some shots with each of those from different distance.

Ah! Hehe ok Yes I'll try that. At the moment I've just done them on my main 50% overlay layer, so there's only a maximum amount of shade I can get due to the original brightness, but I shall try a darken filter just on the book tex itself.

Also thanks Sid
